Practice Your Transitions

With the race less than 10 days away, we encourage all racers to do a practice run with all 3 legs of the race.  The trial doesn’t need to be done at race pace but is useful for getting an idea of when you need to expend and conserve your energy.  It’s also helpful to practice the transitions a few times to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything.  The smallest mistake in planning can cause serious damage on race day.

Try to minimize outfit changes.  If you can swim bike and run in the same clothes you will be much better off.

Don’t forget a towel to dry your feet at T1

Bring an extra pair of goggles…just in case

Wear a light running watch to keep a steady pace and mark laps at landmarks or turns
