Wet Conditions: What to Look Out For

Currently, the weather forcast at weather.com is predicting showers for Sunday.  The Passionman race will be held rain or shine so you might want to consider some of the following advice:

• Bring plastic bags to keep your gear dry at the transitions
• If you don’t have plastic bags, flip your shoes upside down so water doesn’t collect in them
• When biking, break early and take turns slowly especially if you are inexperienced with road bikes
• If you have rain tires, use them.
• Avoid slick surfaces like the lines painted on the road or metal grates/manholes
• Change socks at T2 to prevent blisters
• Wear sunglasses with low light lenses to help keep the rain out of your eyes
